About the Role

Description

Lab2Fab, a Middleby company is seeking a Service Engineer, based out of our Lewisville, TX location.  This position will provide technical consulting and service engineering and be responsible for several components of a project or a complex component of a larger project.  Contributing to your team by applying your knowledge of one or more functional areas: Refrigeration, Automation, Electrical, Mechanical, Controls, Training. This position is an individual contributor without direct reports.


Area of Expertise:
Installation, operation, maintenance, repair and modification of equipment, controls or ancillary products. Guidance and training provided to customer personnel in establishing operation, maintenance of installed equipment and inspection procedures and techniques to optimize troubleshooting and repair of equipment. Analysis of equipment failures to determine root cause and recommend corrective actions.
  

Essential functions: 

Responsibilities will generally focus on the following:

  • Field/Service Engineering
  • Travel outside of the office up to 90% but will vary weekly
  • Project Management 
  • Repair/After-Market Parts Sales
  • Training Store Managers, Crew and Trainers on equipment use and service procedures
  • Manage Service History Database
  • Develop, refine and evaluate operator manuals, machine procedures and training material
  • Develop and maintain Service Bulletin content and published history

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree w/4–7+ years’ experience or
  • 5-10 Years of Field Service experience with QSR customers and sophisticated equipment 
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience professional who can work without direct guidance or direction from others
