The Opportunity
Do you have a passion for AV technology and live event operations? As an AV Specialist, you’ll be hands-on with cutting-edge projection, lighting, audio, and control systems that bring Vallea Lumina to life. You’ll work with a passionate team and industry partner Moment Factory to troubleshoot, operate, and maintain AV systems, ensuring every guest experiences the wonder exactly as designed. What You Bring to the Table

  • You've got experience with the following:
    • Usng tools like Phillips, drills, etc
    • Soldering connectors and cables
    • Wiring power cables
    • In Live events/ Shows/ Performances
  • It's a bonus if you have experience with any of the following:
    • Digital audio Dante protocol
    • DMX lighting protocol
    • ArtNet protocol
    • Video mapping and projection
    • Network management (150+ devices)


What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Valid Work Permit in Canada.
  • Proven experience operating and troubleshooting AV systems: projection, lighting, audio, control, and networking.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills with quick problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with supervisors, technical teams, and external partners.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and during evening shifts.
  • Physically able to lift/move AV equipment and safely work at heights or on ladders.
  • Strong attention to detail and dedication to maintaining high operational standards.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and seasonal peaks.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Operate and monitor all AV systems during nightly shows, ensuring smooth playback and a flawless guest experience.
  • Perform pre-show, in-show, and post-show checks on projection, lighting, audio, control, and networking systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly in a live operational environment.
  • Maintain all AV equipment in excellent working condition in collaboration with the AV Supervisor, Lumina team, and Moment Factory.
  • Follow established procedures for operating the in-house AV control system.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance, servicing, and hardware calibration.
  • Support seasonal installation, calibration, and de-installation of AV equipment.
  • Uphold safety protocols while handling, installing, and servicing AV systems.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, providing detailed handovers and issue reporting.
  • Contribute to enhancing the guest experience before and after shows, aligning with Lumina’s creative and operational vision.
  • Assisting with seasonal trail maintenance across the Lumina course including snow clearing or gritting
