About the Role

Bank of Jordan is seeking an experienced and strategic Talent Acquisition Manager to lead our recruitment efforts and develop a robust talent pipeline for our organization. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing effective recruitment strategies that align with our business goals and meet the diverse staffing needs of our bank. The Talent Acquisition Manager will collaborate closely with senior leadership and hiring managers to foster a strong employer brand and ensure a positive candidate experience. Responsibilities
  • Defines the objectives of unit staff in coordination with them, the Business Partnership Managers, and relevant Services Management. Ensures efficient implementation of workflows with the required speed and accuracy, supervises staff administratively, evaluates their performance, and supports their development to maintain uninterrupted operations across the head office and external branches.
  • Prepares and allocates appropriate recruitment team members to Business Partnership Managers and relevant Services Management, aiming to fulfill staffing needs submitted by various units, while fostering a culture of innovation, smart solutions, and adopting agile management practices.
  • Proposes plans and programs to identify human resource needs in coordination with departments and divisions, compares staffing requirements with job holders’ qualifications and job descriptions, and develops plans to fill vacancies to ensure alignment with the workforce requirements of the bank and its subsidiaries/affiliates.
  • Participates in developing and updating strategies, policies, and procedures related to the unit, and implements recruitment, selection, and hiring systems and tools aligned with the HR strategy and applicable laws.
  • Prepares the annual recruitment plan and its related budgets, and reviews them with the direct supervisor for official approval.
  • Maintains strong relationships with recruitment sources such as academic and professional institutions and recruitment agencies, and monitors their activities and programs to benefit from qualified candidates.
  • Oversees recruitment activities and manages the job advertisement plan through approved communication channels.
  • Manages internal recruitment by optimizing internal expertise to support job succession planning and to maximize human resource utilization while reducing recruitment costs.
  • Ensures the creation of a comprehensive database for candidates, supervises the proper storage and classification of CVs and applications in both digital and physical formats for easy retrieval.
  • Assesses candidates by conducting personal interviews, provides recommendations, participates in the selection process, and negotiates salary and employment benefits.
  • Supervises the scheduling of written and practical tests and interviews for applicants across the bank and its subsidiaries/affiliates, and conducts background checks to verify the credibility of submitted information.
  • Designs candidate evaluation tools based on competencies and skills and submits recommendations for approval by the direct supervisor.
  • Designs and issues job offers to selected candidates based on the approved compensation philosophy of the bank and its subsidiaries/affiliates, and ensures alignment with the role after obtaining required administrative approvals.
  • Oversees and/or provides orientation to newly hired employees, introducing them to the bank, its affiliates, and relevant work teams, and ensures they are informed of all policies and procedures to support their rapid integration and reduce early turnover.
  • Designs performance measurement tools for the Recruitment Unit to enable reviews and benchmarking for continuous quality improvement in line with the bank’s objectives.
  • Manages hiring, transfers, and assignments received from regional management, external branches, and affiliates by reviewing related memos and submitting recommendations for necessary approvals as per authorization levels.
  • Manages the process of reference checks for candidates through referees, professional references, and online platforms as a prelude to selection and hiring.
  • Manages or participates in representing the bank in job fairs, seminars, and conferences relevant to the unit’s operations.
  • Ensures that daily operations are conducted in compliance with approved policies, procedures, and authorization limits to safeguard the bank’s and employees’ rights.
  • Ensures the preparation and timely submission of required periodic reports and statements to the relevant entities.
  • Reviews operational and control reports periodically and takes necessary actions according to approved procedures to ensure effective execution and operational oversight.
  • Serves as a primary or alternate member in the bank’s Business Continuity and Emergency Teams and performs all assigned duties under the continuity plan to minimize crisis impact and ensure swift recovery of operations.
  • A university degree in Business Administration, Banking Sciences, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 8 years of practical experience in recruitment and talent acquisition.
  • Holding a specialized professional certification in Human Resources such as SHRM, CIPD, or an equivalent is preferred.
  • Full proficiency in the English language.
  • Solid knowledge of internal and external policies and procedures governing operations, including their updates.
  • Proficiency in using computers and applicable systems.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Jordanian Labor Law and its amendments, as well as relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Familiarity with the nature of the institution’s business and its various operational areas.
  • In-depth knowledge of all HR systems and procedures.
  • Advanced understanding of interview methods and techniques.
