About The Company
CEDAR is an architecture and design office with a focus on creating regenerative, bespoke objects and spaces.
About the Role

Help reinvent how housing gets designed, permitted, and built in America.

Cedar is building the operating system for urban housing delivery. We combine architectural expertise with software, automation, and data systems to dramatically accelerate how projects move from land acquisition to approved designs and construction. The result: faster timelines, higher quality, lower risk, and more housing in the cities that need it most.

Our team blends architects, engineers, and product builders. We design real buildings — and we build the software systems that make great architecture scalable.

The Role

You will own relationship development and revenue growth across a defined set of priority Austin developers.

Working closely with the CEO, CDO, and GTM Engineer, you will identify target accounts, secure meetings, develop opportunities, and help close engagements. You will also be responsible for nurturing long-term relationships that lead to repeat projects and expanded scopes over time.

This is a quota-carrying role with defined bookings targets.

Success requires disciplined outreach, credibility with experienced developers, and the ability to translate site-level constraints into clear proposals and long-term partnerships.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and maintain a focused list of priority Austin developers

  • Develop structured account plans for high-value targets

  • Secure meetings with principals, development managers, and capital partners

  • Develop deep understanding of each developer’s pipeline, acquisition criteria, and entitlement strategy

  • Position Cedar’s value across:

    • Early-stage site evaluation

    • Feasibility analysis

    • Entitlement strategy

    • Design execution

  • Partner with the CEO and CDO to shape scopes and proposals

  • Manage pipeline visibility and forecasting

  • Drive opportunities from first conversation through signed agreement

  • Maintain active relationships post-close to generate repeat engagements

  • Identify expansion opportunities within existing developer accounts

  • Provide structured market feedback to leadership

Who You Are

  • 5–10+ years in business development, sales, or development-facing roles

  • Experience working with real estate developers in Austin

  • Proven track record of hitting bookings or revenue targets

  • Comfortable discussing feasibility, entitlement timelines, capital constraints, and development risk

  • Strong relationship builder with long sales-cycle discipline

  • Organized in pipeline management and follow-through

  • Clear, direct communicator

You should be able to earn trust with experienced developers and maintain long-term credibility.

Nice to Have

  • Background in real estate development, architecture, construction, or urban policy

  • Existing Austin developer relationships

  • Experience selling professional services or technical consulting

  • Familiarity with zoning analysis and multifamily development

What Success Looks Like

  • Consistent engagement with priority Austin developers

  • Predictable, growing bookings pipeline

  • Closed deals supported by strong internal collaboration

  • Repeat engagements from early accounts

  • Expanding relationships across multiple projects per developer
