About the roleWe are seeking an experienced Claims Manager with a strong focus on insurance and brokerage claim to join our dynamic team. As the Claims Manager, you will lead the end-to-end claims function, ensuring seamless coordination between clients, insurance partners, and internal teams. You will be responsible for maintaining high operational standards, managing a team of claim officers, and providing strategic insights to improve claim performance. This role requires a blend of technical insurance expertise, leadership, and a tech-savvy approach to claims management in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities- Support claims management across the business and help solve escalation cases that require a secondary review
- Follow up with insurance company on the SLA of claim submission, claim decision and claim pending statuses
- Work closely together with partner, adjuster, surveyor and insurance company regarding update statuses of claim submission & decision
- Responsible for maintaining claim ratio & claim records history for all Igloo's client
- Be responsible for keeping SLAs with regards to our responsibilities towards partners, insurance companies, and internal standards
- Take the lead in resolving problems and ensuring efficient execution in the company’s best interest
- High Responsibility in assessing any document claim submission meets standard of regulations, best practice and proper documentation prior submitted to Insurance Company.
- Follow procedure and working instructor, as well as ensure the claim team follows the procedure for the organization's best interest
- Be responsible for day-to-day operation claim officers’ activities in terms of handling claim document submission as well as pending claims
- Conduct and provide valuable insights on the claim performance report on a biweekly basis.
- Have an ownership and responsible person as the center of contact between client, Igloo & Insurance company to provide updates.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships primarily insurer, partners and clients.
- Bachelors Degree preferable in Management Business/ Management Insurance
- At least 5 years of experience in the Insurance industry, preferably in Non-Life or General Insurance (Experience in an Insurance Brokerage or Insurtech is highly preferred)
- Deep understanding of various insurance products (General, Health, or Life) and the end-to-end claims lifecycle.
- Strong knowledge of local insurance regulations (e.g., OJK standards) and best practices in claim assessment.
- Proficient in data analysis; ability to turn raw claim data into actionable insights using Excel or BI tools.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills in (English and/or local language), with the ability to manage difficult conversations with insurers and clients.
- Professional insurance certification (e.g., AAAIK, AAIK, or equivalent) is a significant advantage.
