About the Role

Cardo Systems is a provider of cutting-edge communication and connectivity devices and applications for powersports and outdoor enthusiasts. * Full-time position in a hybrid model (from the company’s offices at Ra'anana/from home), reporting to the VP R&D.

What You’ll Do

System Architecture and End-to-End Ownership

  • Define and maintain system architecture and technical solutions of the product, responsible for ensuring all components - Mechanical, Electrical, Firmware, Mobile, Backend, Audio, and Operations - work together as one coherent system
  • Translate product requirements into clear system and hardware specifications
  • Define interfaces between hardware, firmware, RF, audio components, and mobile SW
  • Identify gaps, risks, and unclear areas in requirements, and lead POCs and technical investigations to validate solutions and ensure compliance


System Engineering Leadership

  • Holistic System Oversight - Lead system design across multidisciplinary domains, ensuring optimal performance
  • Work closely with hardware and RF engineers on component selection and board design, while aligning with software teams on system logic and architecture
  • Ensure optimal performance in terms of connectivity, audio quality, robustness, and power consumption
  • Drive system integration and lead the root cause analysis of complex system-level failures across all domains


Cross-Team Technical Leadership

  • Serve as a technical focal point across hardware, firmware, mobile SW, audio, and product teams
  • Coordinate technical activities to ensure system alignment and successful implementation
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to future product architecture

Requirements

What You Bring

Education & Experience

  • B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or Software Engineering/Computer Science. (Note: Candidates with a SW education must have extensive experience in embedded real-time products.)
  • 7+ years of experience in system engineering of embedded products
  • Strong experience with wireless systems, audio, and RF (Bluetooth – significant advantage)
  • Solid understanding of hardware design and multidisciplinary system integration (HW, Mechanical, and SW)
  • Deep understanding of embedded firmware
  • Experience defining system requirements and driving technical validation
  • Proven ability to root cause system-level failures across HW, FW, and SW boundaries
  • Fluent English
  • Experience with Bluetooth audio systems – advantage
  • Experience with audio, acoustics, or DSP – advantage
  • Experience with consumer electronic products – advantage
