Warehouse Associate-Shipment Receiver

Job Summary:

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for maintaining   accurate receiving   of inbound shipments and inspecting quality of commodities, ensuring the integrity of inbound inventory records in WMS system, and supporting the warehouse operations through sufficient and   optimized supplies of parts to production teams. This role includes physical and visual inspection of inbound commodities, maintaining/documenting inspection reports in WMS.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inbound Receiving:

· Receive incoming shipments and compare items to work orders/BOL/Waybills provided by the supervisor.

· Check incoming shipments for accuracy, completeness, and condition, report discrepancies or damages.

· Properly label and store received inventory items in designated warehouse locations.

· Ensure compliance with safety regulations in handling and storing goods.

· Maintain clean and organized warehouse storage areas.

· Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards   high for audits.

· Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.

· Collaborate with warehouse team members to optimize processes.

2. QC Inspection

· Perform thorough inspections of incoming and outgoing materials or products according to quality standards and procedures.

· Conduct physical and visual inspections of goods received or shipped.

· Document inspection results by completing detailed reports and logs.

· Identify and report any non-conformities or defects in materials or products.

· Communicate quality issues to warehouse supervisors and collaborate on resolution.

· Conduct inventory audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of stock levels.

· Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate QC activities.

· Assist in developing and implementing quality control procedures and protocols.

· Collaborate with purchasing and logistics teams to resolve quality issues with suppliers.

· Follow safety guidelines and maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

· Other tasks assigned by Warehouse Manager/Supervisor/Management.

· Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) (3 years) and other inventory management software, PDA scanner and forklift.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

· Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including standing/sitting for extended period of time, lifting weights, and moving items.

· Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
