Premier MRO is a growing dynamic and vertically integrated Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) aviation services company based in Dayton Ohio. We specialize in the service of mid-sized corporate jets. We support an extensive range of aircraft models, including renowned brands such as Citation, Hawker, Learjet, and King Air. In addition to comprehensive airframe services, we perform maintenance on TFE731, P&W PT6 and JT15D engines and are committed to safety and providing industry-leading customer experience. We are currently seeking candidates for the position of AOG Aircraft Maintenance Technician, at our Dayton, OH location. This position will report directly to the AOG Maintenance Lead.

As an AOG (Aircraft on Ground) Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in minimizing aircraft downtime by providing fast and effective maintenance solutions for aircraft requiring immediate attention. This position demands a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional with the ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex aircraft systems under time-sensitive conditions. You will work in a dynamic, on-call environment, often traveling on short notice to domestic locations. The role requires flexibility, adaptability, and a commitment to maintaining the highest safety and compliance standards.

Inspect, modify, and repair aircraft at the maintenance base and remote locations. Troubleshoots technical discrepancies and executes repairs of company aircraft. Provides guidance to the entry level mechanics/onsite contract mechanics on basic tasks and troubleshooting. Proficient in the use of electronic test equipment, voltage/amperage measuring, recording devices and navigation of troubleshooting equipment. Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in aviation maintenance, Industrial Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years’ Aircraft Maintenance experience as a Level I or Level II Technician.
  • Certifications: FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license required.
  • Technical Skills: Must be able to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language.
  •  Strong analytical, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  •  Working knowledge of Microsoft software and in use of digital manuals.
  •  Strong work ethics, and organizational skills. 
  • Must be able to work in variable weather conditions with the ability to lift parts and equipment.
  •  Able to work rotating schedules to include weekends, nights and holidays as required for AOG response.
  • Licenses: Must possess a valid driver’s license and a valid passport. 
  • Must have reliable transportation for on-call responses.

Work Environment:

  • Airport ramp/warehouse environment subject to varying weather conditions.
  • Regular exposure to aircraft noise and vibrations when testing engines.
  • Fast-paced operational setting requires attention to safety, accuracy, and timeliness
  • Be at least 23 years of age. (Rental car purposes if needed) 
  • Must be able to effectively troubleshoot various aircraft systems while referencing the provided manuals and system schematics.
  • Be authorized to work in the United States and able to travel in and out of the United States.
  • Must be able to travel extensively, sometimes at short notice, to domestic locations.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • FAA Airframe and Power plant license is required.
  • Must understand, read, and write English.

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal delivered with tact and professionalism
  • Must pass a DOT required pre-employment drug screen and willing to submit to and pass FAA and Company mandated random drug and alcohol tests.
  • Able to pass a required 10-year work history review and submit to criminal background and fingerprint checks.
  • Able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules.
  • Operational knowledge of laptop and desktop computers, working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, or related presentation programs. Operational knowledge of Outlook is required. Competency with internet navigation is also required.
  • Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA, state, and federal regulations.
