About The Company
Hyper is redefining how mission-critical infrastructure gets built. Through HyperSpace, we connect underutilized U.S.-based manufacturing capacity with hyperscale and AI infrastructure operators, enabling faster delivery, greater flexibility, and purpose-built equipment designed for today’s high-density workloads. We work closely with customers and manufacturing partners from design through delivery, removing friction, solving real production challenges, and helping scale infrastructure to meet accelerating AI demand.
About the Role

Description

The Senior Product Designer with Hyper Solutions partners closely with Product and Engineering leadership to shape the user experience across Hyper’s internal and customer-facing software platforms. This role focuses on transforming complex operational workflows into intuitive, scalable product experiences that support real-world manufacturing, logistics, and engineering environments.

Design at Hyper is a core part of product discovery and delivery. The Senior Product Designer helps define problems, shape solutions, validate ideas with users, and collaborate with engineering to ship high-quality product experiences that balance usability, technical feasibility, and business impact.

Core Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product leadership to shape roadmap direction through user-centered discovery, workflow analysis, and clear product narratives.
  • Translate complex operational processes into intuitive user flows, information architecture, and interaction patterns.
  • Lead end-to-end design execution across the product lifecycle, including discovery, concept development, prototyping, validation, high-fidelity design, and engineering handoff.
  • Conduct lightweight research activities such as stakeholder interviews, user feedback sessions, and usability testing to reduce usability risk.
  • Develop prototypes ranging from low- to high-fidelity to accelerate decision-making and validate design concepts.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure designs are feasible, well-implemented, and maintain usability through technical constraints.
  • Contribute to and evolve product design patterns and components with a design system mindset.
  • Facilitate cross-functional sessions with product, engineering, operations, and leadership to align on problems, constraints, and solutions.
  • Create clear UX specifications, document edge cases, and ensure designs address real-world operational scenarios.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Improve product consistency by introducing reusable interaction patterns and design standards.
  • Advocate for user-centered design practices across the product development process.
  • Contribute to long-term design system development and product experience guidelines.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in product design, interaction design, or UX design for digital products.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating the ability to solve complex product and workflow challenges with clear rationale and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong product thinking with the ability to connect user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints.
  • Deep understanding of information architecture, interaction design, usability principles, and workflow design.
  • Experience leading design initiatives through ambiguity and evolving requirements.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and a strong commitment to clarity, usability, and product craftsmanship.
  • Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing both internal operational tools and customer-facing software products.
  • Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, field operations, or other complex operational domains.
  • Experience contributing to or building a design system including reusable components, patterns, and governance practices.
  • Familiarity with platform constraints such as permissions, system states, integrations, and edge cases.

What Success Looks Like (First 90–180 Days)

  • Build strong collaboration rhythms with Product and Engineering teams.
  • Map critical user workflows and identify high-friction areas within the product experience.
  • Deliver meaningful product improvements that reduce user friction and improve efficiency.
  • Introduce lightweight research and prototyping practices that improve product decisions and development speed.
  • Improve product consistency through reusable patterns and clearer information architecture.

Portfolio Submission

Please include a portfolio link or case studies with your application; this helps us understand how you think through complex design challenges. We’re particularly interested in seeing projects that demonstrate:

  • The problem and constraints you were solving
  • Your design process and decision-making
  • How you collaborated with product and engineering teams
  • What shipped (or what you learned if it didn’t)
  • The impact or outcomes of the work
