  • Support physical inventory events (annual/quarterly) including count prep, execution, and post-inventory reconciliation.

Operational Support & Continuous Improvement

  • Partner with operations to reduce defects and improve accuracy (e.g., picking/put away errors, overages/shorts).
  • Track and report defect trends, recurring variances, and audit outcomes; recommend corrective actions.
  • Assist with training/coaching of associates on inventory accuracy practices and standard work (as assigned).
  • Participate in Kaizen/CI activities to improve inventory processes, reduce waste, and increase throughput.

Systems, Documentation & Reporting

  • Use WMS/RF scanners to perform transactions (moves, counts, holds, adjustments, research tasks).
  • Maintain accurate logs and documentation for audits, variances, inventory moves, and quality findings.
  • Prepare routine metrics and reports (daily/weekly) including count accuracy, defect rates, and inventory aging.

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all safety policies including PPE, equipment operation rules, and hazard reporting.
  • Operate material handling equipment (MHE) if certified/authorized (e.g., pallet jack, forklift, reach truck).
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and any applicable regulatory requirements (e.g., food/medical-grade handling where applicable).

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • 1+ year experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, quality, receiving, or shipping preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to use RF scanners and basic warehouse systems.
  • Basic computer proficiency (email, spreadsheets, data entry) and comfort working in WMS environments.
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to follow SOPs and maintain accurate records.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks based on daily operational needs.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods; frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently (or per site policy) and handle repetitive motions.
  • Work performed in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures, noise, and forklift traffic.
  • Must be able to read labels, distinguish product markings, and safely use scanning equipment.

Performance Measures

  • Cycle count completion rate and timeliness.
  • Count accuracy and variance reduction over time.
  • Defect identification rate and corrective action closure.
  • Audit scores (bin/location quality, process compliance).
