About the Role

The Opportunity


Veolia has an exciting opportunity for an Operator/Maintainer to join our crew at Luggage Point (Pinkenba 4008). We're looking for a hands on technician who wants to make a real difference in environmental sustainability while building a secure, long term career.

What you'll be responsible for

 

  • Operate and monitor the water treatment plant via SCADA responding to operational and process issues
  • Undertake first-line routine and breakdown maintenance duties as required
  • Conduct routine inspections, sampling and testing of water quality
  • Working within a team environment
  • Manage work requests and permitting systems
  • Work order management
  • Follow safety procedures and help improve how we do things
  • Supervise contractors when required
  • Participating in an Operations On Call Roster

What you'll need to be successful

 

  • Mechanical Trade qualification or solid experience working with industrial equipment
  • Water treatment operations experience (highly regarded)
