About the Role

Description

JOB SUMMARY


Responsible for managing and organizing the paperwork and documentation required to process a consumer mortgage loan application. The role involves working closely with loan officers, underwriters, and borrowers to ensure that all necessary information is accurate, complete, and in compliance with bank regulations, policies and submitted in a timely manner. 


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Gather and review all required loan documentation from applicants, including income verification, credit reports, property appraisals, and other necessary documents.
  • Ensure that all documents meet regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Serve as a point of contact between borrowers, loan officers, underwriters, and other relevant parties throughout the loan process.
  • Provide borrowers with updates on the status of their application and assist them in resolving any issues or concerns.
  • Input borrower and loan information into Loan Origination System accurately.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all loan applications and related documents.
  • Prepare and assemble complete loan files for submission to underwriters for approval.
  • Ensure that all conditions set by the underwriter are met before final approval and closing.
  • Ensure all loans comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Stay updated on industry changes and ensure processing procedures adhere to current JBT guidelines.
  • Identify and address any potential issues or discrepancies in loan applications.
  • Work proactively to resolve any problems that could delay the loan approval process.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing borrower inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Assist in educating borrowers on the mortgage process to ensure they understand their loan terms and responsibilities.
  • Promote and preserve JBT’s values and culture
  • Follow Bank policy and procedure to prevent fraud and financial crimes
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements

SKILLS REQUIRED


  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in mortgage processing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of federal, state, and local mortgage regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated integrity and professionalism.
  • Ability to meet deadlines independently while ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of JBT mortgage products, policies, and procedures.
  • Effective written, verbal, and telephone communication and presentation skills.
  • Capacity to collaborate across functions to foster client and employee loyalty.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Familiarity with office equipment including computers, adding machines, telephones, copy machines, and fax machines.
  • Ability to lift approximately 25 lbs.
