About the Role

Description

We’re hiring a Service & Repair Manager to lead our Lakeland shop - someone who knows pumps, understands how repairs actually get done, and isn’t afraid to jump in and get their hands dirty when needed.

This is a player-coach role. You’ll be leading the team, setting the pace in the shop, and making sure work is done right - but you’ll also be working alongside your technicians at times, helping troubleshoot, reviewing tear-downs, and stepping in on more complex rebuilds when it matters.

About Hudson Pump & Tencarva

Hudson Pump & Equipment, founded in 1979, is a Florida-based distributor and service provider of pumps and fluid process equipment, with locations in Lakeland, Jacksonville, and West Palm Beach. Hudson became part of Tencarva Machinery Company in 2001.

Tencarva Machinery is a distributor, engineering and design partner, and OEM-authorized repair network within the process equipment/flow control market. With 36 locations across 16 states, Tencarva & Hudson provide end-to-end, whole-system solutions for over 18,000 active customers across many verticals, including industrial, municipal water/wastewater, power generation, oil/gas, mining/aggregates, and automotive. Our service offerings include system analysis and design, applications engineering, custom fabrication of equipment packages, automation and controls, equipment repair, and thermal hard coatings. tencarva.com

The Role

This position leads the shop-based service business, including the repair and rebuild of industrial & municipal pumps and a wide range of rotating equipment, along with oversight of our in-house manual machining capabilities. You’ll be responsible for running the day-to-day shop operation - making sure jobs are scoped correctly, repairs are done to OEM standards, schedules are realistic, and the team has what they need to get the work done right.

This role works closely with our Repair Coordinators (RC), Repair Engineers (RE), and Sales Support (SSS) team, who handle much of the quoting, documentation, and administrative side of the business. Your focus is on team support, coaching/development, repair execution, quality, and keeping the operation running smoothly and safely.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Run the day-to-day shop operation, including pump rebuilds, rotating equipment repair, and machining work
  • Lead the team and hold the standard in the shop - quality, pace, and accountability
  • Set priorities and manage repair schedules, shop workload, and throughput
  • Review tear-downs, repair plans, and completed work to ensure jobs are done correctly
  • Step in on tougher jobs when needed to support troubleshooting and rebuild work
  • Work closely with internal teams (RC, RE, SSS, and Sales Engineer) to ensure repair scopes, parts, and timelines are aligned
  • When necessary, communicate directly with customers on job status, timelines, issues, etc.
  • Partner with internal teams to coordinate parts, outside services, and vendors as needed to keep jobs moving
  • Keep the shop organized, efficient, and running on schedule
  • Maintain a strong safety culture and clean working environment

 Why Join Hudson / Tencarva

  • Hudson has a very strong reputation in the Florida region (over 45 years in business)
  • Tencarva is one of the most respected, trusted distributors & service centers in the pump business
  • Stable, growing company with long-term ownership mindset and no history of layoffs
  • Annual incentive program
  • Quarterly shop performance incentives
  • Customer-oriented business; emphasis on quality/craftsmanship, reliability, safety, and ethics
  • Realistic workloads and expectations - not a high-pressure production shop

Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401(k) with profit sharing, and paid time off.
