About the Role
Description
The CT Technologist performs diagnostic imaging examinations and should be well educated in anatomy, patient positioning, proper examination techniques, equipment protocol, radiation safety & protection, and excellent patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily calibration and warm-up of imaging equipment
- Operate and perform imaging exams
- Interview patient prior to examination to obtain pertinent background and history relating to imaging procedures
- Collect prior patient scans or images from outside facilities before scheduled exam
- Explaining scanning procedures to patients and providing reassurance and support as required
Requirements
Requirements
- AART(CT) Certified
- Must have current BLS certification
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
- Ability to stand/sit for extended periods of time
- Compliance with OSHA & HIPAA policies
Other Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent computer skills
- Exceptional written, verbal, customer service, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well with other team members across all departments
- IV skills are preferred
