Summary


The Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring that finished wheels meet Dicastal quality standards while adhering to all safety requirements. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Always follow all safety rules and requirements 
  • Contribute to a safe work environment by maintaining housekeeping standards 
  • Maintain reliable attendance 
  • Follow instructions to meet daily job assignments 
  • Prepare necessary materials for assigned tasks 
  • Process, pack, and/or ship products in accordance with quality standards 
  • Accurately record, report, and properly mark scrap and non-conforming parts 
  • Maintain a productive work environment through communication and teamwork
  • Using tools to perform minor cosmetic repairs when applicable
  • May need to conduct minor rework to finished product
  • Perform other duties as assigned 

Inspection Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail 
  • Become familiar with wheel types, including proper tagging and labeling for products and shipments 
  • Utilize Dicastal Appearance Standards, boundary samples, and labeling guidelines to identify and respond to non-conforming parts 
  • Use gauging tools to verify products meet required specifications 
  • Collaborate with the quality team to ensure customer requirements are met 
  • Perform visual inspections of products on the production line 
  • Conduct minor cosmetic repairs as needed 
  • Lift and move wheels on and off workstations and pallets 
  • Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner 
  • Perform additional duties as assigned 

Skills and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required 
  • Minimum of six (6) months of manufacturing experience preferred 
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions and documents 
  • 20/20 vision preferred; ability to distinguish colors within the standard spectrum is helpful but not required

Physical Work Conditions

  • Ability to work in a hot environment 
  • Ability to lift varying weights as required

  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
