Summary:

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our facilities are safe, efficient, and well-maintained. You'll be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions to keep our operations running smoothly. Supporting our team with any needs regarding HVAC, energy management, building automation, plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, painting, equipment maintenance, and general construction practices.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Performs general plumbing, electrical, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) repairs to the facility’s equipment and systems.

· Operates mechanical tools and equipment as required to fabricate or repair industrial parts and equipment.

· Inspects equipment and systems to identify problems or issues.

· Troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment

· Direct and participate in facility plumbing repairs

· Consults blueprints or building plans to identify best solution to resolve systems or equipment issues.

· Troubleshoot and fix any plumbing related issues

· Conducts preventive maintenance to ensure plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems continue operating properly.

· Obtains services of outside contractors when repairs require specialized training.

· Performs general cleaning tasks within the facility.

· Maintains inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies.

· Performs all the preventive maintenance work necessary to keep the equipment and machinery running according to standards.

· Maintain overall facility and associated facility equipment

· Areas of responsibility include all preventive and reactive building and site maintenance

· Will be required to document daily activities, work order resolution, equipment maintenance and repair activities, inventory tracking, warehouse activity.

· Performs installation, configuration, and relocation of furniture and modular workstations

· Performs other related duties as assigned.  



 


Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities: 

• Thorough knowledge of general plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repair.

• OSHA requirements in a warehouse environment

• Order and maintain replacement and spare parts for the facility and equipment.

• Receives, verifies, and counts inventory and direct purchases

• Ability to read blueprints, building plans, and repair manuals for equipment.

• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.

• Pneumatics and Hydraulics

• Building codes and regulations

• Ability to follow instructions.

• Excellent time management skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Licenses or Certification 

• Previous experience in a related field preferred
