About the Role


Position Summary

The Logistics Supervisor supports and directs the Logistics Associates and Leads by setting up workflow and priorities to increase material efficiencies and by directing the day-to-day activities. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the warehouse is constantly maintained in an audit-ready state
  • Conduct warehouse tours for client and regulatory agency audits
  • Ensure that materials are received with proper documentation and stored in accordance with established procedures
  • Ensure that materials are released and issued on a timely basis to meet the production schedule
  • Maintain accurate inventory transaction records in the ERP system through physical inventories and cycle counts to support materials planning and cGMP traceability requirements 
  • Organize stock locations and maintain proper status of inventory items
  • Provide feedback on performance to the Senior Logistics Manager
  • Coordinate activities with Project Management, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Warehouse and Manufacturing 
  • Ensure all material requests and all production run materials are promptly issued
  • Collaborate with Sales, Project Management, Engineering, Purchasing and Operations to meet material needs to maintain the production schedule
  • Report and investigate Quality deviations and events
  • Report and participate in the investigation of safety incidents
  • Act in place of manufacturing manager in their absence 
  • Demonstrate BSM values and behaviors at all times
  • Attend and complete all mandatory training
  • Other duties as assigned

Regulatory Responsibilities 

  • Conduct business in a responsible manner that complies with all FDA, OSHA, cGMP and other local, state and/or federal agencies’ regulations

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise four (4) to eight (8) team members to include:
  • interviewing, hiring and training employees
  • planning, assigning and directing work
  • appraising performance
  • rewarding and disciplining employees
  • addressing complaints and resolving problems


Experience


  • One (1) or more years of warehouse experience
  • One (1) or more years working in a manufacturing environment
  • One (1) or more years of leading a team preferred

Education

  • Associate's Degree required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Basic understanding of FDA, OSHA, cGMP and other local, state and/or federal agency regulations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills including advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel 
  • Able to work as part of a team to ensure all company standards are met
  • Proficiency with ERP and inventory management software
  • Supervisory skills
  • Attention to detail

Physical Requirements 

 

  • Able to lift up to approximately 50 pounds
  • Stand and walk throughout facility
  • Use both hands and arms in repetitive motion
  • Sit at a desk for extended periods of time
  • Use computer-related equipment with accuracy and efficiency
  • Able to work in a manufacturing environment
