Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in Torrance, California.

This role supports a high-volume Labor & Delivery unit managing both low and high-risk obstetric patients, including complex antepartum and postpartum cases.

POSITION OVERVIEW
This assignment is ideal for L&D nurses with strong high-risk obstetrics experience who are comfortable managing deliveries, surgical cases, and postpartum care in a fast-paced acute care environment.

• 13-week contract
• Night shift 3x12s (19:00–07:00)

COMPENSATION

CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret fetal heart tracings :contentReference[oaicite:6]index=6
• Administer medications including magnesium sulfate, Pitocin, and antihypertensives :contentReference[oaicite:7]index=7
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and emergency interventions :contentReference[oaicite:8]index=8
• Provide newborn stabilization and immediate care :contentReference[oaicite:9]index=9

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years Labor & Delivery experience REQUIRED (HARD STOP) :contentReference[oaicite:17]index=17

• Previous travel experience REQUIRED :contentReference[oaicite:19]index=19
• Active California RN license REQUIRED (must be in hand) :contentReference[oaicite:20]index=20
• ACLS, BLS, NRP REQUIRED :contentReference[oaicite:21]index=21
• AWHONN Advanced REQUIRED (HARD STOP) OR C-EFM accepted :contentReference[oaicite:22]index=22
