Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a travel assignment in Eureka, California.

This role supports a hospital-based nuclear medicine department performing a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including cardiac imaging, PET scans, and radionuclide studies.

POSITION OVERVIEW
This assignment is ideal for Nuclear Medicine Techs experienced in both diagnostic and cardiac nuclear imaging who are comfortable working independently and managing a diverse caseload in an acute care environment.

COMPENSATION

CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform nuclear medicine procedures including bone scans, PET scans, and cardiac studies :contentReference[oaicite:4]index=4
• Conduct myocardial perfusion imaging (exercise/rest) :contentReference[oaicite:5]index=5
• Perform HIDA scans, gastric emptying, and thyroid uptake studies :contentReference[oaicite:6]index=6
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals and maintain safety protocols :contentReference[oaicite:7]index=7
• Start and maintain IV access for procedures :contentReference[oaicite:8]index=8
• Handle, store, and dispose of radioactive materials safely :contentReference[oaicite:9]index=9
• Operate GE and Siemens imaging equipment :contentReference[oaicite:10]index=10
• Collaborate with radiology and interdisciplinary teams :contentReference[oaicite:11]index=11

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years Nuclear Medicine Tech experience REQUIRED :contentReference[oaicite:15]index=15
• ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification REQUIRED :contentReference[oaicite:16]index=16
• CNMT certification preferred :contentReference[oaicite:17]index=17
• Experience with PET, cardiac, and diagnostic nuclear procedures REQUIRED :contentReference[oaicite:18]index=18
• Experience handling radioactive materials REQUIRED :contentReference[oaicite:19]index=19
• IV start and maintenance experience REQUIRED :contentReference[oaicite:20]index=20
