About the Role

Okie Staffing is seeking a skilled Brazing/Welding Technician. This position involves performing various welding tasks including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on metal structures and components for diverse industries.

This position will require component repairs utilizing welding equipment and brazing equipment. TIG welding on stainless steel and aluminum. Brazing on nickel and copper alloy. The ideal candidate will have strong welding skills, attention to detail, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols. Safety and quality are top priorities in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on metal parts and assemblies
  • Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and work instructions
  • Inspect welded joints to ensure quality and adherence to specifications
  • Maintain welding equipment and workspace in a safe and clean condition
  • Follow all OSHA and company safety protocols
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals
  • Proven experience as a welder, proficient in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding
  • Welding/brazing experience on nickel, stainless steel, aluminum, and copper preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols
  • Ability to pass TIG welding assessment on stainless steel and aluminum.
  • Ability to demonstrate proper brazing techniques.
  • Hands on production using small hand tools and shop equipment.
  • Mechanically inclined and detail oriented
  • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
  • Knowledge of welding safety practices and procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Welding certifications preferred but not required
  • Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills
  • ·Reasoning Abilities: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

2nd Shift position 3:30 pm – 12:00 am

Monday – Friday. OT as required.

Pay 20.00 plus overtime
