About the Role

BDO’s Brisbane Tax practice has established itself as a major player within the local marketplace, advising many of Queensland’s leading public and private sector organisations across a diverse industry base.  

We have an opportunity for a Consultant to join our Corporate & International Tax team in Brisbane. You will be part of a collaborative team that takes a holistic approach to tax advisory work, covering all aspects of the Australian and international tax spectrum 

Your role will involve providing advisory and/or compliance services to a diverse range of clients ranging from medium sized clients to large international groups. In this role, you will be mentored by our industry leaders, developing your knowledge and skill set in complex compliance and consulting tax work. 

 

Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Researching and drafting advice on technical matters 

  • Liaising with the ATO regarding client matters 

  • Preparation of income tax returns and work papers 

  • Preparation of tax effect accounting calculations 

 

Ideally, you’ll have the following skills and experience: 

  • Hold a university degree in commerce, accounting and/or law (or related disciplines) 

  • 1+ years’ Corporate Tax experience, ideally working in the tax practice of a Big 4/mid-tier accounting firm 

  • Strong client advisory and communication skills 

  • A collaborative, innovative and inclusive working style
