About the Role

Description

 The RF Junior Technical Engineer is responsible for performing functions associated with new products and  manufacturing tests and tuning RF devices. This position designs, tests, and optimizes RF systems under Senior  guidance, focusing on RF principles and circuit design.  


Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  •  Assist in identifying production issues and deficiencies 
  • Assist sales department with technical issues and field customer technical questions 
  • Participate in ISO9001 processes and procedures  
  • Assist in developing methods to improve manufacturing testing processes and innovate automated procedures to collect data during testing 
  • Create and report clear and concise testing reports
  • Safely operate laboratory test equipment and verify that equipment is within current calibration 
  • Perform rework and quality testing on parts, components, circuit boards, final assemblies, and returned customer  components  
  • Ensure signal performance by utilizing tools like spectrum/network analyzers and simulation software
  •  Work with all disciplines of engineering to set-up and execute calibration tasks 
  • Maintain compliance within regulatory specifications across multiple recognized agencies  
  • Performs other related duties as assigned 

Requirements


  • Completion of a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or a related field, with 1 or more years of job related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and job-related experience 
  •  Ability to safely use laboratory test equipment (e.g., signal generators, power meters, spectrum analyzers, etc.)

  • Proficient with RF and analog troubleshooting, as well as digital circuitry troubleshooting  
  •  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products 
  •  Highly motivated, detail-oriented professional with a can-do attitude for tackling technical challenges
  •  Direct experience with RF circuits, analog circuits, and RF amplifiers  
  • Excellent communication skills 
  •  Ability to lift laboratory test equipment and amplifiers, which can weigh up to 75 pounds 

Requirements Preferred

  •  Completion of a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or a related field, with 3 or more years of job related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and job-related experience 
  •  Experience working with Labview and other pertinent software 
  •  Advanced proficiency with RF laboratory test equipment, including signal generators, power meters, and  spectrum analyzer
