We are hiring a Computer System Analyst III (Audio Visual Systems Engineer) who can deliver enterprise-level engineering, sustainment, and operational support for Audio, Visual, Lighting, and Videoconferencing (AVL-VC) systems across USAFCOEFS facilities. This role ensures reliable, mission-ready classroom and event technology supporting training, leadership, and large-scale operational events.
The Audio Visual Systems Engineer will serve as the technical authority for AVL-VC systems across approximately 425 classrooms, conference rooms, and auditoriums, while also supporting senior leadership conferencing environments. The ideal candidate brings advanced AV systems engineering experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to design, sustain, and optimize complex integrated AV environments in a mission-critical government setting.
The scope is to provide enterprise-level engineering and sustainment support for AVL-VC systems across USAFCOEFS, ensuring fully operational classroom environments, reliable senior leadership communications systems, and high-quality audiovisual support for training, operations, and mission-critical events.
Key Responsibilities
1. AVL-VC Systems Engineering & Sustainment
• Serve as the primary Audio Visual Systems Engineer for enterprise AVL-VC systems
• Monitor and ensure operational readiness of all AV, lighting, and videoconferencing systems
• Report system issues or performance concerns to the COR within 4 hours
• Ensure continuous sustainment of approximately 425 classrooms and conference spaces
• Maintain operational readiness of senior leadership AV/VTC systems
2. System Design, Planning & Modernization
• Develop post-wide AVL-VC sustainment, operations, and enhancement plans
• Conduct conceptual design development and cost estimation for AV systems
• Perform needs assessments and site surveys across installation facilities
• Support modernization and integration of emerging AV technologies
• Provide technical input for RFQs and project planning with G6 and MICC
3. Event & Operational Support
• Participate in planning and execution of large-scale events and ceremonies
• Develop AVL-VC support plans for major installations and special events
• Provide on-site operational support during high-visibility events
• Ensure system performance and troubleshoot issues in real time during events
4. Systems Configuration & Technical Support
• Configure and support AV control and processing systems including: Crestron, AMX, Extron, Biamp, and Matrix switchers and audio systems
• Troubleshoot wired and wireless network issues impacting AV performance
• Develop technical problem statements for escalation to network teams
• Support integration of AV systems with enterprise IT infrastructure
5. Training, Documentation & Reporting
• Provide user training on AV/VC system operation and maintenance
• Maintain daily work logs and service documentation
• Create and manage tickets in SharePoint, AESMP, and FCP systems
• Provide monthly reports detailing completed and pending work
• Develop standardized work log and reporting formats for COR approval
6. Service Management & System Performance
• Sustain senior leadership AVL-VC systems with strict performance standards
• Ensure repair of critical systems within 5 working days (or approved delay)
• Maintain non-senior systems with repair completion within 10 calendar days
• Ensure continuous availability and functionality of all AVL-VC environments
7. Cross-Functional Support & Advisory Role
• Provide guidance to Audio Visual Specialists as needed
• Collaborate with G6, COR, and mission stakeholders on system requirements
• Support oversight of AV projects and system upgrades
• Ensure alignment with operational, training, and mission requirements
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Audio Visual Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 7+ years of experience in AV systems engineering or enterprise audiovisual support
• DoD Secret Clearance
• Compliance with all DoD cybersecurity, information assurance, and system access policies
• Ability to support operations in SIPRNet/NIPRNet and restricted environments
• Must comply with CUI/PII handling requirements and Army security regulations
• Advanced knowledge of AVL-VC systems and enterprise AV environments
• Experience with Crestron, AMX, Extron, Biamp, and AV matrix systems
• Ability to develop technical designs, cost estimates, and sustainment plans
• Strong troubleshooting and systems analysis capabilities
• Experience supporting large-scale events and live operations
• Ability to manage multiple mission-critical systems simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting DoD or Army training environments
• Familiarity with AESMP, SharePoint ticketing, or similar ITSM systems
• Experience with enterprise classroom or simulation-based AV systems
• Strong background in event production and live AV operations
