Position Summary

Oversees the planning, organization, and leadership of all manufacturing operations to ensure products are produced with exceptional quality, at optimal cost, and delivered to customers on schedule.


What a Day Looks Like:

  •  Provide strategic direction to the manufacturing team by reviewing work priorities and production schedules  to ensure daily, weekly, and monthly customer order commitments are met.
  • Lead and mentor Production Supervisors, fostering a strong performance-driven culture.
  • Serve as a key member of the Senior Staff team, actively shaping and reinforcing the facility’s overall culture.
  • Develop the master labor schedule based on customer orders and forecasted demand.
  • Collaborate with Production Supervisors, Line Leads, Program Management, Materials, Quality, HR, and other stakeholders to assess production capabilities and constraints, and create action plans to address any limitations.
  • Define routing and labor standards for all production operations in alignment with established manufacturing sequences and lead times; maintain this data within the ERP system.
  • Ensure, through Production Supervisors and Line Leads, that all manufacturing employees receive appropriate training and cross-training.
  • Promote and support a continuous improvement mindset, partnering closely with the facility’s Lean Project Manager.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee written policies, processes, and procedures to optimize manufacturing performance.
  • Maintain strong communication with support functions and ensure timely resolution of employee relations matters through the supervisory team.
  • Prepare reports and deliver presentations as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

  •  4–6 years of experience in a similar role within a related industry.   
  • Background in assembly-based manufacturing preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in building and developing effective teams.
  • 3–5 years of leadership experience with a proven ability to motivate teams, demonstrate managerial courage, and drive organizational vision and purpose.
  • Working knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen methodologies, and ISO standards.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
