About the Role

Job Description:

Accountabilities

The jobholder provides stress validation to the design solutions addressing NC and Concessions occurred during manufacturing in Airbus plants. Working with airbus design office, provide stress justification for the modifications of all airbus program.

Operational activities

  • Detail stressing of components and mechanisms according with Airbus procedures, standards and methods.
  • Ability to analyse and validate Metal &/or Composites / Hybrids structures at component level for static strength, F&DT and produce relevant strength margins or reserve factors according to validated and applicable Airbus methods & sizing processes.
  • Analysis static strength and dynamic capabilities with the provided loads to calculate strength margins and generate reports.
  • Application of finite element method or classical analysis methods to predict the failure modes of aircraft metallic and composite structures.
  • Generate fatigue spectrum from aircraft cycle definition files and loading data to perform fatigue and damage tolerance analysis.
  • Manufacture support: stress analysis of non-conformity for element parts & assembly.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor and above degree major in mechanical design or aircraft design or mechanical engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience of static strength analysis for metal / composite structure or experience of fatigue and damage tolerance (crack propagation) analysis.

Ability

  • Basic Skills: good technical understanding of aircraft structure analysis, repair, or plant engineering, good at Patran, Nastran, Hyperworks. Good level of English skills in both writing and speaking. Capability in programming like VBA, Python…
