Description
The Director of Development & Fundraising, Just1 is responsible for driving revenue growth, cultivating transformational donor relationships, and expanding strategic partnerships that advance the mission of Just1. This role provides visionary leadership and execution over all fundraising, donor engagement, and external relations efforts, ensuring sustainable financial growth, measurable impact, and a best-in-class donor experience. The Director integrates strategy, relationships, and operations to build scalable systems that increase giving, deepen engagement, and position Just1 for long-term expansion. This role is an integrator/operation meaning it will both design and build the systems, processes, and collateral. There will be the support of a team but this is a hands-on role.

Requirements
Key Priorities
- Achieve and exceed annual fundraising goals ($500K–$1M+) through diversified revenue streams
- Expand and strengthen a high-capacity donor pipeline, including major and transformational gifts
- Increase donor retention, engagement, and lifetime value
- Build a volunteer team to activate and grow strategic partnerships with churches, businesses, and community leaders
- Establish scalable development systems, processes, and infrastructure for long-term growth
- Align all fundraising and engagement strategies to measurable outcomes and organizational impact
Leadership & Team Development
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for all development and partnership initiatives
- Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership, boards, and ministry teams to align fundraising efforts with organizational priorities
- Equip and empower internal and external stakeholders (staff, board members, volunteers) to effectively support fundraising efforts
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and mission-driven excellence
- Lead with emotional intelligence, professionalism, and strong relational awareness in all interactions. This role will work cross-functionally with both external consultants/volunteers as well as staff and volunteer teams within Rock Church.
Operations & Results
- Design and execute a comprehensive, multi-channel fundraising strategy including major gifts, corporate partnerships, grants, major events, and annual giving
- Own and manage revenue goals, including quarterly and annual targets, with clear action plans and performance tracking
- Build and manage a portfolio of high-capacity donors, developing individualized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies
- Oversee donor systems, CRM management, and giving platforms to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and scalability
- Ensure compliance with all financial, legal, and regulatory requirements related to charitable giving
- Track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics, using data to optimize results and improve conversion rates
Community Engagement & Outreach
- Serve as a primary ambassador for Just1, building strong relationships across churches, businesses, and the broader community
- Cultivate and steward strategic partnerships that expand reach, influence, and revenue opportunities
- Lead the development of meaningful donor engagement experiences, including events, gatherings, and personalized touchpoints
- Represent Just1 at key events, fostering visibility, credibility, and mission alignment
- Build and nurture a network of aligned supporters and advocates to sustain long-term growth
Change Leadership & Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to strengthen fundraising effectiveness, donor experience, and organizational alignment
- Use data, feedback, and market insights to continuously refine strategies and improve outcomes
- Develop and implement systems, SOPs, and playbooks to support sustainable and repeatable processes and success especially related to major events
- Lead through change with adaptability, clarity, and a solutions-oriented mindset
- Proactively address gaps in processes, communication, and performance to drive organizational excellence
Experience & Leadership
- Minimum of 8 + years of progressive leadership experience in fundraising, development, sales, or business development
- Proven success in securing major and transformational gifts ($100K+) and achieving ambitious revenue targets
- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain high-level relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders
- Strong strategic thinking, execution, and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders at all levels
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism
- Demonstrates Christ-centered leadership through integrity, humility, and relational care
- Fully aligned with the mission, vision, and values of Just 1 and Rock Church
- Active participation in organizational life, events, and community engagement
- Commitment to biblical principles of stewardship, generosity, and reconciliation
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required (Nonprofit Management, Business, Communications, Marketing, or related field)
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant leadership experience will be considered
Physical Requirements:
