Position Overview

The Process Engineer (Chinese Citizen) will design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality production. This role focuses on process design, equipment specification, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration to implement improvements that increase productivity, reduce costs, and maintain compliance with regulatory and quality standards. The successful candidate will be data-driven, experienced in process control and scale-up, and skilled at working with production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams. Strong Chinese communication skills are required to support liaison with Chinese suppliers, partners, and technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in optimizing the media production process system, assist in defining the process technology roadmap, and drive iterative upgrades of existing processes.

• Lead overseas factory (Indonesia) new process/new product mass production projects; coordinate cross-functional resources to ensure project progress.

• Solve complex process problems in production (e.g., yield fluctuation, equipment adaptation); apply lean or Six Sigma methods to drive continuous improvement.

• Lead the local Indonesian process team in technical training and accumulate process knowledge (e.g., operation manuals, case libraries).

• Coordinate with domestic R&D team to adapt process technology for localization in Indonesia (e.g., raw material substitution, equipment adjustment).

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of process engineering experience, 1–2 years of overseas project experience (or cross-border collaboration); HNB/tobacco/food/chemical industry preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Food Engineering, or * related fields.

• Familiar with full process development lifecycle (from pilot to mass production); master lean or Six Sigma fundamentals; proven process optimization cases (e.g., yield improvement >5%).

• Team collaboration skills; able to lead small project teams

• English for daily work communication (fluent reading/writing + basic speaking).

• Knowledge of international process standards (e.g., ISO 9001); overseas factory process interface experience preferred.

• Willing to be expatriated to Indonesia; adaptable to cross-cultural work environment; strong problem-solving and resilience.

• Chinese citizen willing to relocate to Indonesia or Chinese citizen with legal work status in Indonesia

Location: Onsite, Malang - East Java, Indonesia (willing to relocate)
