Responsible for analyzing participant data for completeness to ensure adherence to plan provisions and service agreements for the Large, Mega, Not-for-Profit, and Government segments. Responsible for resolving participant data issues with either the plan sponsor or the prior record-keepers. Coordinates the participant data setup. Communicates with Payroll Ops Consultants, systems and other functional teams across the organization. Clients can be new or existing (merger) and will generally have assets in excess of $100M; clients with multiple IRS codes; divisions or employer groups; and customization. Responsible can also include set up of plan and participant records for plans under $100M.

What will you do
  • Review plan submission materials including the plan set up checklist, loan provision policy and other materials for needed for the implementation of standard LMNG plans
  • Quality check fund/money type/disbursement mapping.
  • Submit requests to various functional teams across the organization to ensure timely and accurate plan set up, including but not limited to loans, recoveries, SDB, managed accounts, tech support and systems.
  • Analyze participant data files, identifying data anomalies or missing data elements needed to provide standard and custom plan services. Work with client and prior record-keepers to resolve data issues.
  • Propose resolution to participant data conditions in consultation with internal operational teams to ensure administration of plan provisions and service requirements.
  • Document agreed upon procedures.
  • Coordinate participant data load either through implementation team or through systems teams as needed.
  • Quality check participant data before and after moving to production.
  • Coordinate the allocation of assets and required prenotes as needed for each mapping strategy.
  • Provide plan reconciliation for client approval.
  • Monitor the progress of the plan set up and communicate to internal teams.
  • Assist with cross training staff.
  • Other duties or projects as appropriate.
What will you bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.
  • Prior experience and understanding of various IRS codes; 401(k), 401(a), 403(b), 457, etc. preferred; 3-5 years
  • FINRA fingerprinting required.
  • Implementation or related work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of EXCEL is required.
  • Strong knowledge of internal record keeping systems required.
  • Strong knowledge of all IRS codes; 457, 401(k), 403(b), 401(a), etc. required.
  • Proficient knowledge of plan document provisions relative to current recordkeeping system capabilities is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail required.
  • Excellent time management.
  • Resolves most questions and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels.
  • Coordinates plan and participant setup to prevent risk of loss due to errors.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with conversion consultants, quality assurance, sales, technical support, systems, UAT test, legal, investments, marketing and the operational teams.
  • External contact with clients and prior record-keepers.
  • Professional office environment and regular use of office equipment such as computers, phones, fax and copy machines.
  • While performing the duties of this job, this role is regularly required to type, sit for long periods of time, read, verbally communicate, present information and respond to questions, collect and analyze data, prepare reports, problem solve, concentrate.
