We are currently looking for a Governance Analyst to support the Bank’s compliance governance program and infrastructure, including all Bank policies, compliance risk assessment(s), training, issue management, and Board/management reporting. 

  • Policies, Procedures & Guidance:  Administer and manage Bank-wide Policy, Procedure, and Guidance processes. This includes coordinating with various subject matter experts and management in departments across the Bank to ensure policies, procedures, and guidance documents are reviewed, up to date, and standardized. 
  • Compliance Training:  Assign, monitor, track and report on compliance training activities to ensure timely completion. 
  • Reporting:  Prepare regular compliance, governance, and risk reports for Board and management for various subjects across governance. 
  • Issues Management:  Assist the organization in monitoring and tracking issues identified through monitoring and testing efforts to ensure timely completion and gap remediation. 
  • Risk Assessments:  Support the various risk assessments activities performed by members of the Compliance and Governance teams to identify potential compliance issues and track associated corrective action plans. 
  • Regulatory Change Management:  Provide support with regulatory compliance monitoring, initiatives, and program development for applicable regulatory changes.  This includes receiving alerts, news articles, and ad hoc communication and tracking changes in the regulatory environment to support the Regulatory Change Management process. 
  • Additional duties:  Assist with document compilation for regulatory exams, audits, and other review processes.  This includes supporting documentation, SharePoint governance, compliance workflows, and other continuous process improvement and projects as assigned.      

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business management or a related field. 
  • 4+ years of professional experience in banking and financial services, with an emphasis on compliance, risk management, legal, internal audit or a related field. 
  • Working knowledge of banking and consumer regulatory compliance requirements (e.g. UDAAP, ECOA, FCRA, TILA, TISA and related laws) 
  • High attention to detail; sound professional judgment; and strong organizational skills. 
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills; presents ideas in a clear, concise, understandable, and organized manner. 
  • Team player and strong problem solver; ability to think critically, identify inefficiencies or concerns, and make recommendations or escalate accordingly.  
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) 
  • Ability to maintain a strong operational focus with the ability to manage time sensitive workflows across competing priorities and varying stakeholders. 

Preferred qualifications 

  • Experience building and implementing enterprise-wide policy and procedure management processes. 
  • Demonstrated ability and comfort working in an ever-changing regulatory environment and the flexibility to quickly react to changing demands. 
  • Experience in a sponsor bank or Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) environment preferred. 
  • CRCM, CERP or other related regulatory certification is a plus.
