Job Summary

  

We are hiring a Fire Life Safety Sales Specialist to drive new business and expand existing accounts in the small to mid-commercial segment. This is a hunter role requiring both sales execution and technical credibility in fire alarm systems.

You will identify code deficiencies, develop compliant solutions, and close service and installation opportunities. This role is best suited for someone who can operate as both a salesperson and a trusted advisor to customers, contractors, and AHJs.


Responsibilities

  • Sell service agreements, system retrofits, and new installations using a consultative, code-driven approach 
  • Conduct site walks, identify deficiencies, and translate findings into compliant, revenue-generating solutions  Build relationships with property managers, contractors, and AHJs to influence project outcomes 
  • Develop and manage a self-generated pipeline in addition to company-supported opportunities 
  • Collaborate with design and operations teams to deliver accurate, executable proposals 
  • Present technical solutions and proposals to decision-makers and stakeholders 
  • Cross-sell integrated solutions including intrusion, access control, and video systems 
  • Stay current on NFPA standards, local codes, and enforcement trends
  • Mentor other sales team members as needed

  • Closed revenue from fire alarm service and installation projects

  • Growth of Cross-Sale opportunities with other sales reps
  • Strong relationships with AHJs and local contractors


Qualifications


  • 3 to 5 years of sales experience in fire alarm or life safety systems
  • Strong working knowledge of code-compliant fire alarm systems, including NFPA 72 and local AHJ requirements
  • Proven success selling fire alarm service, retrofit, and system installations
  • Strong understanding of system design concepts, equipment such as Potter, Silent Knight, DMP, & Firelite, and enforcing code requirements, and approved Security vendors
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally


Preferred Qualifications:

  • NICET certification (as plus
  • Experience working directly with AHJs, inspectors, and fire marshals
  • Experience with healthcare, education, retail, government, civic, and restaurant

Compensation

Pay: Base salary plus commission plan

· $600/month car allowance

· $40/month phone allowance

· Company fuel card

· On-Target Earnings (OTE): $150,000+, uncapped for top performers
