The Academy of Our Lady of Peace is currently accepting applications for a Varsity Basketball Head Coach for the upcoming season. This is a seasonal interscholastic coaching position within a competitive CIF girls basketball program.
We are seeking a dynamic leader who will serve as a positive role model and represent OLP with integrity, energy, and a strong commitment to developing student-athletes. The ideal candidate will bring experience, passion, and a vision for building and sustaining a competitive program while fostering growth both on and off the court.
This role requires a coach who values not only competitive success, but also emphasizes character development, teamwork, accountability, and sportsmanship, aligning with the mission and values of OLP.

- Strong basketball coaching knowledge and experience
- Effective communication and leadership skills
- Commitment to teamwork and student-athlete development
- Ability to mentor and positively influence female student-athletes
Additional Expectations:
- Plan, organize, and lead all aspects of the varsity basketball program
- Develop and implement practice plans, game strategies, and skill development
- Build relationships with student-athletes, families, and school community
- Oversee program culture, discipline, and expectations
- Collaborate with athletic administration on scheduling, communication, and program needs
- Support the development of sub-varsity levels to ensure program continuity
- Ensure adherence to CIF, school, and athletic department policies and procedures
Requirements
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Strong basketball coaching knowledge and experience
- Effective communication and leadership skills
- Commitment to teamwork and student-athlete development
- Ability to mentor and positively influence female student-athletes
Applicants must submit a cover letter, resume, and two professional references from current or former supervisors. Candidates must also provide official transcripts, a current negative TB test result or TB Risk Assessment Questionnaire, complete required training, and successfully complete Livescan fingerprinting. Employment is contingent upon obtaining fingerprint clearance from the California Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
