Job Description

Purpose of the Role

We are looking for a new member to join our experienced Private Client Team.  This is an entry level role the purpose of which will be to assist the existing team with their portfolios of complex clients while building own knowledge of the industry. 

Main Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • To assist with the administration of a portfolio of trusts and corporate structures for a multinational HNW client base of individuals, corporates and family offices. 
  • Maintenance of records, drafting trust minutes and corporate resolutions. 
  • Bank/investment account opening. 
  • Preparation of payments in line with our internal procedures. 
  • Liaising with third parties including banks, investment managers, legal advisers and property agents. 
  • When necessary, assist with the establishment of new structures including all aspects of trust formation, company incorporation and all compliance aspects to meet with regulatory requirements ensuring all internal processes are followed. 
  • To ensure that database records are input on formation/establishment (including any statutory registers or other records) and updated when circumstances change. 
  • Work collaboratively with the compliance team to complete compliance reviews, gathering and updating due diligence and assisting in the preparation of periodic reviews. 

Regular training is provided through our GROW platform, with face to face in house training and support provided for studying professional qualifications. 

Regular training is provided in relation to industry updates, taxation and regulatory changes.

Qualifications

  • A-level school leaver or university graduate. 
  • Whilst not essential, a minimum 1 year of experience in company and trust administration or a similar field would be beneficial. 
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook. 
  • Excellent written and oral communication 
  • Experience of Viewpoint would be an advantage but not essential 
  • Awareness of Guernsey’s regulatory environment.
