We are looking for a Finance Solution Architect to sit at the heart of our SAP transformation - bridging enterprise architecture with the finance domain as we accelerate our move to S/4HANA and modernise our wider ERP ecosystem.

This is not a purely advisory role. You will be hands-on, embedded within the SAP ERP team, acting as the trusted architectural authority for Finance. You will shape and deliver real solutions - from roadmap through to production - while keeping pace with innovations in AI, data, and cloud finance platforms.

Key Accountabilities

Architecture & Technical Leadership

• Serve as the go-to Finance Architect for the embedded business function, guiding initiatives from concept through to live delivery
• Define and evolve architecture blueprints, standards, and platforms - grounded in real-world experience, not just theory
• Apply enterprise data, ML, and AI architecture principles pragmatically to generate measurable business value

Solution Design

• Partner with IT Finance leaders and SAP teams to understand business constraints and design end-to-end solutions
• Drive architecture across Finance master data, domain-oriented data products, and AI-aligned data flows
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise standards while remaining practical and delivery-focused

Collaboration & Strategic Influence

• Work closely with domain leadership to shape Finance process, data, and AI strategy and roadmaps
• Provide structured, experience-based feedback to evolve enterprise governance models
• Act as a bridge between technical depth and business language - translating complex architecture into clear decisions

Knowledge, Experience & Capabilities

Core Technical Expertise

• Deep hands-on knowledge of S/4HANA Finance - including Central Finance (CFIN), Master Data Governance (MDG), SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and product costing
• Strong understanding of SAP BTP and its role in extending and connecting the finance ecosystem
• Experience with modern data architecture - including Databricks, SAP Datasphere, BW/4HANA, and embedded analytics
• Familiarity with Lean IX (enterprise architecture tooling) and Signavio (process modelling) is a plus

Data & AI Acumen

• Solid grasp of data modelling paradigms - analytical, domain-oriented, and event-driven - applied in large, multi-domain landscapes
• Genuine enthusiasm and growing knowledge of embedded AI, SAP Joule, and agentic AI - and how they reshape Finance processes

• Confident engaging with both business leaders and technical teams - credible, clear, and direct
• Comfortable holding a position and influencing decisions without direct authority
• Able to manage ambiguity, balance competing priorities, and adapt quickly in a fast-moving environment
• Customer-centric mindset - you understand what your stakeholders are trying to achieve and architect around that

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field Or

A degree specialising in Finance with IT knowledge/experience
