About The Company
CMS is a manufacturer's representative specializing in innovative, energy-efficient HVAC systems for commercial and industrial markets, including Heath Care, Education, Data Center, and Energy Retrofit projects. Our focus is on providing clients with forward-looking solutions supported by expert applications knowledge and first-class customer service. Providing solutions that help to minimize the impact of building systems on the environment is an integral part of our business. Part of this commitment to the environment is evident in our partnerships with progressive manufacturers. Providing energy efficient chilled water with Multistack (the first carbon-neutral chiller manufacturer in the world), recovering waste energy with Innovent units, and supplying Washington-made Haakon air handlers built with recycled materials are just a few examples of our commitment. We also encourage our employees to become LEED accredited, so CMS may be a better resource to our customers and business partners. For additional information, please visit our website or contact us at cms@cmswa.com.

Parts Manager

HVAC / Industrial Distribution
Multi-Location | Full-Time | Exempt

Salary: $120,000k-$180,000k

Build it. Scale it. Own it.

We’re looking for a high-impact Parts Manager to take ownership of a multi-location parts business with significant untapped growth.

This is not a “keep things running” role—this is a build, optimize, and scale opportunity for someone who thinks like an owner and leads from the front.

You’ll operate as the business leader for parts—driving performance across sales, operations, inventory, and customer experience—while partnering across service and equipment teams to create a seamless, best-in-class operation.

What You’ll Own

Leadership & Culture

  • Lead inside sales, outside sales, and warehouse teams across multiple locations
  • Build a high-accountability, performance-driven culture
  • Coach, develop, and elevate talent at every level

Growth & Market Impact

  • Identify and execute growth opportunities across pricing, product mix, and customer segments
  • Actively engage the market—customers, vendors, and team—to drive revenue
  • Bring a proactive, entrepreneurial approach to expanding the business

Operations & Inventory Excellence

  • Own inventory performance: turns, accuracy, availability, and obsolescence
  • Optimize stocking strategy and enforce disciplined processes
  • Improve speed, accuracy, and efficiency across locations

Business Ownership

  • Own revenue, margins, expenses, and inventory investment
  • Track and manage KPIs with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Make data-driven decisions that drive profitability and growth

Customer Experience

  • Deliver fast, accurate, and reliable parts support
  • Build strong customer relationships and trust
  • Champion a people-first, customer-first culture

What We’re Looking For

  • 5–10+ years in parts, distribution, or supply chain leadership
  • Experience in HVAC, mechanical, or industrial distribution strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of driving growth, improving operations, and leading teams
  • Strong business acumen (pricing, margins, inventory, KPIs)
  • Hands-on, player-coach mentality—you lead from the floor, not just the office
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and bias for action

What Success Looks Like

  • Consistent sales and margin growth
  • A high-performing, accountable, and engaged team
  • Best-in-class customer experience across all locations
  • A parts operation that runs like a business—not just a support function

Why This Role

  • High visibility with real influence on the business
  • Opportunity to build and scale something meaningful
  • Autonomy to lead—not just manage
  • Performance-driven culture that rewards results
  • Competitive compensation + incentives tied to impact

 Ready to Build Something?

If you’re a driven leader who knows parts, understands distribution, and wants to own, grow, and scale a business—we should talk.
