About the Role

Description

The Position:

As a Bartender, at The Bancroft you will be responsible for creating and serving a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to our customers while providing exceptional customer service. You will also be responsible for preparing the bar for the shift, serving alcohol responsibly, educating our staff and guests on our beer and cocktail selections, cash handling and having fun!


Bartender candidates should have a minimum of 1 year of bartending experience in a full-service, high-volume restaurant. 


Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers and take their orders promptly and accurately.
  • Prepare and serve a variety of drinks, such as cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Monitor inventory and restock supplies as needed.
  • Ensure that the bar area is clean and always organized.
  • Adhere to all safety and health regulations.
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
  • Provide excellent customer service by interacting with customers and addressing their needs and concerns.
  • Make recommendations to customers based on their preferences.
  • Upsell drinks and menu items to customers.


Requirements:

  • Previous bartending experience
  • Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy items
