The Data Production team serves Experian Data Quality's clients by ensuring that they have the latest datasets for use within their EDQ products, and that the data is accurately produced to high standards.
Your role as Junior Data Production Analyst involves taking responsibility for delivering data updates, working with data suppliers. This is a technical delivery role, responsible for processing data files for delivery to the customer and dealing with all issues as they arise.
You will report to the Data Production Lead.
What you'll do:
- Deliver all assigned data updates within agreed timescales
- Liaise with data suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure the data is delivered on time, according to the technical specification
- Execute data production software and data release pipelines as appropriate for each update
- Deal with technical issues that occur during the delivery cycle (eg. missing data, incorrect formats, updates to scripts, missing files, program bugs or errors)
- Execute full Quality Assurance checks of the assigned data sets
- Understand and amend basic scripted command files
- Manage the electronic delivery of data to customers
- Work with colleagues to address any issues encountered during an update, ensuring that status and plans are accurately communicated
- Continuously identify and advocate opportunities for improving processes
- Act as a stakeholder on development – share knowledge of data and production processes, spotting and raising bugs and improvements to the product development teams
- Act as last line support for the regional commercial and support teams for any data related issues
Qualifications
What you'll bring:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English – able to work with stakeholders from multiple teams and geographies
- Passion about data and experience in data analysis
- Creating and maintaining process documentation
- Understanding and amending of basic scripted command files
- Not afraid of taking ownership, plan and prioritize work, with frequently changing priorities
- Familiar with different computer systems and tools
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Python or PowerShell will be considered a plus
- Comfortable taking decisions independently based on the analysis completed and personal experience
- Capable of reviewing and understanding data files and make changes to accommodate updates/modifications
- Excellent troubleshooting capabilities
