About the Role

This position is responsible for all aspects of Electronic Process team activity in HARMAN Suzhou. This includes Planning, controlling SMT boards assembly, final product assembly processes (including: SMT, Coating, Assembly, underfill, Final assembly) to produce exceed customer expectation quality products.

What You Will Do

  • Plan and execute process evaluation to develop new processes and process modifications.
  • New product trial run.
  • Perform troubleshooting and repairing work when machine breaks down.
  • Maintain electronics production line equipment to maximize equipment performance. Processes focus on (while not limited to) ECU Assembly of final assembly lines.
  • Innovate new approaches and make recommendations for process improvements.
  • Communicate with cross-function team to achieve maximum output efficiency of final assembly while adhering to all process guidelines.
  • Provide formal and informal training for other engineers & technicians and manufacturing personnel.
  • Determine requirements for processing equipment, develop PM and TPM instructions and train technicians and operators.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Fluent at reading & speaking is preferred.
  • Prefer to have jointing process development experience, such as resistance welding, or tig welding, or laser welding in manufacturing industry.
  • Prefer to have jointing analysis experience, such as cross section & metallographic analysis.
  • Able to avoid damage to capital equipment, tools, or production line products.
  • Understand process methods of operation and maintenance. Must understand critical characteristics of components, processes and equipment.
  • Ability to understand and use Electronic, Electro-Mechanical and Pneumatic schematics or mechanical drawings to resolve various performance deficiencies.
  • Understanding of basic mechanics, pneumatics, and electrically controlled machinery as used in an automated production environment.
  • Ability to utilize critical thinking skills as applied to root-cause troubleshooting and analysis.
  • Ability to update and maintain machine reference documents and technical procedures is desired.
  • Educational: Technical BS degree.
  • Experience: More than 3-5 years of work experience in a related field.

  • Proven project execution/implementation with demonstrable results.
  • Demonstrate strong material and informational flow transformation step knowledge.

  • Natural ability to lead team members through problem solving and rapidly implement solutions.
  • Perseverance to drive for stretch goals.
  • Inter-personal savvy to gain consensus.
  • Enthusiastic character.
  • Ability to see the “whole” and work through “detail” as needed.
