About the Role

Description

Wake Veterinary Medical Center in Raleigh is currently seeking a CT and Advanced Imaging Technician to join our collaborative and compassionate team. The Advanced Imaging Technician is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient acquisition of diagnostic imaging studies, including computed tomography (CT) and other advanced imaging modalities. This role works closely with veterinarians, radiologists, and nursing staff to support high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic care for veterinary patients.

Duties:

  • Perform CT imaging procedures according to established protocols
  • Prepare and position patients for advanced imaging studies
  • Operate CT scanners and related imaging equipment safely and effectively
  • Assist with post-processing, and data transfer
  • Ensure optimal image quality while minimizing radiation exposure
  • Administer contrast agents as directed and monitor patients for adverse reactions
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation

Required Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of veterinary anatomy and imaging principles
  • Knowledge of radiation safety and imaging protocols
  • Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CT, fluoroscopy, and ultrasound
  • Experience with veterinary CT or advanced imaging
  • Experience in specialty or referral hospital settings
