Requirements
JOB PURPOSE: Assist and supervise the performance of operational functions which constitute the production, inspection and distribution of products or services for commercial customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise production staff on a day-to-day basis.
- Outline daily tasks of production workers to ensure efficiency as well as quality of finished product.
- Train employees on correct procedure for each assigned task. Complete training log.
- Ensure the work rules and standards set forth in the Kato Cable Employee Handbook are followed.
- Assure consumer workers are in compliance with consumer rights policies and all other policies governing the provision of services and programs for individuals with disabilities.
- Review and implement customer and/or Kato Cable ECOs and new product design.
- Perform assignments in accordance with established safety policies and procedures.
- Adhere to the Quality Policy, including all items assigned to this position in accordance with ISO policies, procedures, and work instructions.
- Display appropriate work ethics in the workplace and group settings which provides a positive influence on consumer workers.
- Refer to work order or procedural instructions appropriate for each job, function or assignment before commencing work.
- Perform any specified quality assurance checks designated for each job, function or assignment.
- Maintain good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned work sites.
- Assure that all work assigned to position is performed in accordance with specifications, instructions and requirements.
- Demonstrate ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within a reasonable time, depending on the degree of difficulty of their job functions.
In addition, may also be responsible for a variety of tasks as needed by our ongoing business and company requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience, Competencies and Education
Must possess an education or experience level that permits the employee to effectively communicate and perform duties, assignments and responsibilities of the job. Minimum of two years experience in a wire assembly environment required.
Must have knowledge of UL and IPC Standards as well as experience in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
- Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze and interpret the documents relating to the job, function or assignment.
- Mathematical Skills
Ability to perform basic mathematical equations.
- Reasoning Ability
Ability to make decisions when identifying in-process problems. Ability to deal with a variety of job assignments.
