We're looking for a Senior AI Engineer to own the design, development, and delivery of production-grade AI systems, with a strong focus on Generative AI. This role is for builders first — someone who has spent years architecting and shipping production systems at scale, and has layered deep AI expertise as a force multiplier on top of that foundation. You'll make architecture decisions, build scalable infrastructure, and ship AI-powered products that run at global scale. You'll work closely with researchers, engineers, and product managers to turn complex energy challenges into real, working solutions.

What Will You Do:

• Design, build, and scale production AI systems end-to-end — from architecture and API design through deployment, monitoring, and iteration — with a focus on Generative AI: multi-agent systems, tool-use orchestration, RAG, structured outputs, and model evaluation and observability frameworks.
• Lead technical decision-making: choose the right tools, frameworks, and patterns for each problem. Own the architecture.
• Collaborate with researchers to evaluate new AI approaches and bring the most promising ones from prototype to production.
• Work cross-functionally with product managers and domain experts to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Requirements

• BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of hands-on software development experience building and shipping production systems at scale.
• Strong system design and architecture skills — microservices, API design, distributed systems, data modeling.
• Production experience building Generative AI applications: working with LLMs, RAG architectures, vector databases, orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex), and context engineering.
• Solid experience with cloud platforms and infrastructure — Kubernetes, Docker, AWS/GCP/Azure.
• Strong proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases, and efficient data handling for AI/ML workloads.
• Excellent communication skills and a track record of collaborating across teams.

It's an advantage if you have:

• MSc/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Research background in machine learning or algorithm development.
• Experience with fine-tuning LLMs, model evaluation at scale, or building AI-powered developer tools.
• A mindset of owning problems end-to-end — picking up whatever knowledge is needed to get the job done.
