Manager, Production & Traffic

Position Summary :
Under the direction of Marketing Leadership, the Manager, Production & Traffic oversees all marketing production operations, inventory management, vendor coordination, and asset workflow management to ensure the seamless execution of mail campaigns, print production, branded merchandise fulfillment, warehouse logistics, and cost tracking. This role leads the team responsible for daily production and traffic activities, ensuring deliverables are completed accurately, on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory and brand standards, while maintaining operational efficiency, financial accountability, and strong cross-functional alignment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Lead and oversee daily production and traffic operations, ensuring accurate task routing, vendor coordination, timeline adherence, and structured workflow management.
- Supervise team members responsible for production execution, mailings, inventory control, and order fulfillment.
- Manage the organization’s marketing fulfillment platform, including asset uploads, SKU governance, version control, and inventory thresholds.
- Conduct routine content audits and warehouse reviews to maintain compliance, inventory accuracy, and forecasting discipline.
- Oversee vendor partnerships, including RFP processes, pricing negotiations, proofing, press checks, secure file handling, and end-to-end quality assurance for print and mail campaigns.
- Serve as primary liaison with warehouse and fulfillment partners to ensure timely production, shipping, and delivery confirmation.
- Maintain detailed production tracking, reporting, and payment processing, and provide regular spend analysis and forecasting to leadership.
- Ensure all materials and processes comply with regulatory, brand, and data privacy standards.
- Oversee traffic management systems to monitor project flow, balance team capacity, track performance metrics, and ensure timely, accurate routing of all production and mailing tasks.
- Establish, standardize, and continuously optimize traffic workflows, documentation, and system configurations to eliminate bottlenecks, improve cross-functional visibility, and strengthen operational efficiency and compliance discipline.
- Lead, mentor, and develop production and traffic team members by setting clear performance expectations, identifying capability gaps, driving skill development, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement across all production functions.
Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills and operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while handling additional responsibilities as directed by leadership.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $95,000/year to $100,000/year dependent on experience ; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, licensure, skills, and experience.
The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.

Education /Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field (exceptional experience in lieu of degree accepted).
- 5–7+ years of experience in marketing production, print operations, traffic management, or marketing operations required .
- Minimum 2 years of team leadership or supervisory experience.
- Experience in healthcare, managed care, or regulated industries preferred.
- Proficiency in Workzone or comparable project management systems.
- Strong vendor management and print production experience required.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel required for reporting and forecasting).
