Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is hiring a Director of Laboratory for a full-time leadership role in Ottumwa, Iowa.

POSITION OVERVIEW
• Oversees laboratory operations within hospital setting
• Responsible for team-building and leadership within laboratory and hospital
• Ensures compliance with regulatory and accrediting agencies
• Supports growth of laboratory services through client recruitment and retention

COMPENSATION
• Salary Range: $91,980 – $124,173

SCHEDULE
• Full-time
• Day shift

ROLE
• Develop and manage laboratory financial strategy
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accrediting standards
• Oversee employee relations, recruitment, and retention
• Coordinate laboratory services with hospital departments
• Maintain customer service standards for laboratory clients
• Support laboratory growth through marketing and client strategies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or scientific discipline REQUIRED
• MBA or MA/MS in scientific discipline preferred
• Minimum 5 years supervisory or management experience REQUIRED
• 8 years supervisory or management experience in hospital or reference laboratory preferred
• ASCP or AMT certification REQUIRED
