About the Role

Job purpose

The Business Development Director accelerates company growth by identifying new opportunities and expanding P95-JC’s presence in the clinical research landscape, with a focus on neurology, cardiometabolic, and infectious diseases, as well as Real-World Evidence (RWE) services. In particular, this role should help growing a new Functional Service Provider (FSP) business unit for Biometrics services (Data Management, Biostatistics & Programming, Medical Writing and Safety/Pharmacovigivilance), targeting the US market while supporting global expansion.
This role requires building and nurturing strong relationships with key stakeholders, understanding client needs, and translating those insights into strategic business initiatives. The Business Development Director collaborates closely with internal teams to develop tailored solutions, support sales strategies, and contribute to the overall growth trajectory of the company across the US

Responsibilities

The responsibilities for the Business Development Director US include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients, industry trends, and growth opportunities with focus on FSP services for Biometrics.
  • Prospecting: Generate new business leads and RRPs through targeted prospecting, networking, and outreach activities.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in the pharmaceutical industry and other stakeholders. 
  • Sales Presentations and Proposals: Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals that effectively showcase our services.
  • Pipeline Management: Oversee the sales pipeline, track leads and opportunities through CRM, and provide accurate, timely sales forecasts.
  • Events and Networking: Represent the company at scientific conferences, seminars, and industry events. Network with potential clients and professionals to strengthen and expand market presence.

Experience - the ideal candidate will have

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in CRO Business Development
  • Proven experience selling clinical services, with a strong focus on FSP services;  experience in neurology, infectious diseases/vaccines and cardiometabolic diseases is a plus 
  • Established network of key decision makers within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Strong ability to build and maintain long-term, trusted relationships with clients.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong ability to understand client needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Proven track record in generating RFPs, converting prospects, closing deals, and achieving sales targets.
  • Pragmatic, energetic, self-motivated, and results-driven achiever.
  • Detail-oriented with critical thinking and strong business acumen.
  • Sensitive to cross-cultural differences and adaptable in diverse environments.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
