Are you a passionate, solution-oriented Project Engineer and do you want to work in a future-oriented and sustainable industry that is driven by innovation and the latest technology?Join our dynamic Engineering team in Canada and lead and oversee the design, delivery, and governance of rail and transit systems across Ontario and British Columbia, acting as Engineer of Record and ensuring compliance with engineering standards and regulatory requirements.
This is how You Make a Difference
Act as Engineer of Record for projects in Ontario and British Columbia.
In BC, serve as Responsible Registrant, maintaining the Professional Practice Management Plan and supervising engineering activities.
Lead engineering design in collaboration with the Technical Manager.
Lead requirements management processes, including traceability of requirements through design and V&V.
Manage the design documentation generation as well as the adherence to engineering quality management standards.
Manage design interfaces to customers and third parties as required for projects.
Support project management, design, construction, and testing of systems as required, including on-site and remote works.
Perform engineering field reviews as required.
Provide engineering input on O&M, RAM, Safety, and Security.
Assist in preparation of estimates and tender documentation.
Sign and seal engineering documentation where required.
You are
- A clear communicator who can work effectively with clients, authorities, and internal stakeholders.
- Proactive and solution-focused.
- Organized and capable of managing multiple interfaces and priorities.
- Comfortable taking ownership and accountability as an engineering authority.
What you Bring to the Table
Registered P.Eng. in Ontario and BC, or eligible to be.
Senior-level design, commissioning, and V&V experience in a Rail and Transit environment with the following systems:
Public Address
Passenger Information Signage (PVIS/PIDS)
Telephony
Preferred experience with CCTV and passenger-counting systems
Preferred experience with life safety systems and communicating with AHJs and fire response authorities to establish fire response plans that include PA and PVIS.
