An Accounting Assistant is responsible for interpreting and applying financial and accounting principles. Success in this role requires the ability to deliver timely and accurate information to support decision-making, along with maintaining a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive data.

Responsibilities: 

  • Perform daily treasury tasks
  • Create and maintain excel spreadsheets related to financial activity and reporting
  • Reconcile bank accounts statements
  • Perform day to day general ledger entries and account reconciliations
  • Provide year end schedules and support
  • Perform month end financial reporting and analysis
  • Maintain department procedures and process documentation
  • Perform ad hoc reporting, analysis, and special project work at direction of management
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree with preference to Finance or Accounting, 1-2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination
  • Proficient software experience (Microsoft Office Suite and financial systems)
  • Experience in consolidation and reporting (desired)
  • Possess a valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles which may be driven, and an acceptable driving record as determined by Michels Review Team (desired)
