Automotive Body Technician

Description
The Automotive Body Technician will perform all body repairs according to estimate. In addition, the technician will perform welding, soldering, body alignment, frame/unibody repairs, repair dents/ruptures and aligns, repairs and/or replaces structural or mechanical parts damaged in accidents, invoices daily and keep records to ensure accurate billing to the client. Also, must be able to carry out the workflow of our customers and inspect quality with client representatives.

Duties and Responsibilities
Assessment and Planning:
- Inspect vehicles to assess the extent of damage and determine the best approach for repair.
- Create a repair plan based on dent size, location, and vehicle type.
Repair of Automobile:
- Performs welding, soldering, body alignment, frame/unibody repairs, repairs dents and ruptures.
- Aligns, repairs and/or replaces structural or mechanical parts damaged in accidents.
Quality Assurance:
- Conduct thorough inspections post-repair to verify the quality and completeness of work.
- Address any additional imperfections or issues as needed to meet quality standards.
Customer Interaction:
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding the repair process, timeline, and expectations.
- Provide recommendations and advice on maintaining the vehicle's appearance and value.
Documentation and Reporting
- Document all repairs accurately, including before-and-after photos and detailed notes.
- Maintain records of materials used and hours worked for billing and reporting purposes.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Stay informed about industry trends, tools, and techniques to continuously improve skills and efficiency.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 35 pounds.
- Work typically performed in a shop or outside environment.
- May require bending, stooping, and lifting heavy objects.
Requirements:
- Two years of proven experience as an Automotive Body Technician.
- Excellent knowledge of automotive body repair techniques and materials.
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Effective communication skills with customers and team members.
- Current and valid driver’s license.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to work legally in the United States.
