Our development laboratory offers multiple technologies and equipment to form, shape, attach, and test catheter tips with complex geometric features. Temperature or pressure measurement, stent or stent graft delivery, steering, drug delivery, and balloon dilation in sizes from 2Fr to 36Fr are commonly integrated within our designs. Our cleanroom molding capabilities include insert molding and over molding small parts and luers, and working with thermosets, thermoplastics, and bioabsorbable polymer materials. Molding of parts weighing less than one gram and the ability to measure just 0.10 mm is our specialty. Manufacturing takes place in one of our ISO 13485 Certified Class 7 cleanrooms providing full turnkey service to our customers. With multiple facilities across the United States, we are dedicated to fully servicing your device development and contract manufacturing requirements in a concise, proactive manner.

Position Overview

Are you passionate about hands-on product development and building innovative medical devices that improve patient outcomes? We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically skilled R&D Assembly Technician to join our development team. In this role, you will partner closely with engineers to support the development, assembly, and testing of next-generation medical devices from prototype through pilot production.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where precision, quality, and continuous improvement are key.


What You’ll Do

  • Build pilot production quantities of medical device products and subassemblies following written and verbal instructions
  • Support engineers with prototype builds, process improvements, and product development activities
  • Operate assembly and manufacturing equipment including adhesive dispensers, vertical shrinkers, braiders, tipping machines, drilling, punching, and measuring devices
  • Perform device and component testing in accordance with written protocols and procedures
  • Maintain accurate production and testing documentation including LHRs and other required records
  • Inspect incoming materials to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, procedures, and specifications
  • Track materials, tools, and processes throughout the build process
  • Identify equipment repair or upgrade needs and communicate them appropriately
  • Maintain compliance with all quality system requirements, SOPs, and safety procedures
  • Collaborate effectively with engineers, technicians, and cross-functional team members

What You’ll Bring

Education & Experience

  • Associate degree or higher in a related science or technical field preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • 0–3 years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, or product development
  • Medical device experience preferred

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong technical aptitude and mechanical dexterity
  • Experience with plastic part assembly, adhesive bonding, prototyping, or similar manufacturing techniques
  • Ability to work with small components and precision assemblies
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and procedures
  • Understanding of measurement tools and units
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
