Sales Support Associate

As a Sales Support Associate at IDEXX, you will provide support to the sales team in your region and act as a liaison between the sales professionals and internal departments. You play a vital role in the overall health and advancement of the region’s objectives. You will make sure all the checks and balances are in place in the lead-to-order process, provide transactional support to ensure successful and efficient execution of business transactions, and generate smooth on-boarding for our customers.

You will be a key contributor to the sales success within the Companion Animal Group (CAG) and in ensuring veterinary professionals can rely on IDEXX technology to deliver crucial diagnostics. You will help strengthen customer relationships, support business growth, and ultimately contribute to better outcomes for animals health.
This role is a temporary position of 1 year duration.
In this role:
- You'll partner with commercial ecosystem on sales proposals while balancing the needs of the customer and the business. Investigate and resolve inquiries or concerns. Escalate situations that are unique and unable to be resolved through current processes. Proactively identify opportunities to positively enhance our service offering.
- You'll understand the organizational structure, customer agreement lifecycle, products, services, marketing programs and pricing. Demonstrate resourcefulness. Know where to locate and follow policies, procedures, and program guides.
- You'll gain trust and confidence with members of the commercial ecosystem through honesty, integrity, and authenticity. Drive results and meet service level agreements by prioritizing and planning work to ensure tasks are completed on time.
- You'll contribute to customer satisfaction, loyalty and retention by partnering with members of the commercial ecosystem to develop creative solutions that meet the customer’s needs.
- You'll use SalesForce.com to approve the setup of new SAP accounts
- You'll support the achievement of revenue, gross margin and operating expenses as per target
- You'll ensure the sales team adheres to pricing policies, submits paperwork correctly and follows the correct audit guidelines
- You'll prepare daily reports of the number of instruments sold, installations and pipeline for internal use
- You'll participate in projects to implement initiatives; identification of project opportunities and generation of ideas and solutions
- You'll communicate with related areas to coordinate work
- You'll potentially lead work activities of others, coordinating daily activities and providing training, coaching and guidance
- You'll partner with the commercial ecosystem on sales proposals and developing solutions that meet the customer’s needs

What you will need to succeed:
- It’s essential you speak fluent Business English and fluent French
- Use your own initiative to drive tasks and targets
- To be analytical, with a high level of experience in Excel & preferably SalesForce.com and Business Objects
- Project management skills and abilities, with ability to work in cross-functional teams in a matrix environment
- A keen eye for detail & love to work with data, so you have experience in data gathering
- Process improvement skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- You’ll love to collaborate, communicate and work with a range of different stakeholders across the organization.
- Presentation skills: ability to present and explain business requirements to all audiences
- Influencing skills to gain commitment and support for decisions and to motivate the organization to support business changes
- Prioritize and plan work to be completed on time. Ability to stay focused on the work at hand when conflicting distractions present themselves.
- Effective communication and collaboration with commercial ecosystem in local language and conversational English proficiency

- Be a trustworthy partner to our Sales Professionals providing support, developing intricate financial sales proposals of all complexities while balancing and advocating for the needs of the customer and the company. Identifies opportunities to better serve our customers.

- Advanced knowledge of our products & services, systems, programs and processes and proactively identifies opportunities for improvements. Actively shares knowledge and is a role model within the team.
