About the Role

Job Description - What the Job Entails

Notch is the AI operating system built for insurance, financial services, and fintech. We deploy purpose-built agents that resolve complex, regulated workflows compliantly and at scale, and we are already live with some of the world’s largest carriers and fintechs.

We’re growing quickly and looking for a founding business development hire to help drive our next stage of growth. This role will own pipeline generation and help shape the outbound motion as we continue to scale.

You’ll focus on generating pipeline and nurturing target accounts across insurance, financial services, and fintech. This role requires strong research, thoughtful outreach, and creative ways to engage the right prospects across channels, including outbound, conferences, events, and strategic follow-up.

This is a high-impact role for someone who wants to help build the go-to-market engine from the ground up, work closely with leadership, and directly influence revenue growth.

Compensation: $200,000-$300,000 OTE, depending on experience, plus equity and benefits.

ABILITIES & SKILLS - What You'll Do

Define the right accounts and opportunities

Identify high-potential accounts, refine ICPs, and conduct deep research to understand buyers, priorities, and market signals across insurance, financial services, and fintech.

Develop thoughtful outbound strategies

Build creative, tailored outreach strategies that cut through the noise and create meaningful engagement with the right prospects.

Refine and improve messaging

Continuously test and improve messaging based on what resonates in the market. Help shape how Notch is introduced and understood in early sales conversations.

Generate and nurture pipeline

Own prospecting and top-of-funnel pipeline generation while keeping target accounts warm and engaged over time through thoughtful, persistent follow-up.

Represent Notch in the market

Support and attend conferences, events, and in-person meetings to help create opportunities, build relationships, and expand Notch’s presence in key industries.

Help build the outbound system

Turn what works into repeatable structure. Document learnings, improve workflows, and help build an outbound motion that can scale with the company.

Work cross-functionally to drive revenue

Partner closely with sales, marketing, and leadership to align on targeting, messaging, and account strategy. This role sits at the center of early GTM execution.

Job Requirements - What You’ll Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, management consulting, investment banking, or another high-performance, client-facing environment
  • Strong commercial instincts and a clear interest in revenue, pipeline, and go-to-market execution
  • A highly competitive, motivated, and adaptable mindset
  • Strong research and communication skills, with the ability to tailor outreach and engage senior stakeholders
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams internally and build credibility externally with prospects
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, flat organization with a high level of ownership
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay organized across multiple accounts and workflows
  • A willingness to learn quickly, iterate often, and help build from scratch

  • Experience selling into insurance, financial services, fintech, or other regulated industries
  • Experience in a startup or high-growth B2B environment
  • Experience with founder-led sales or early-stage GTM teams
