LPN Shift Supervisor-Shorepointe

POSITION SUMMARY
The Nursing Supervisor assumes the responsibility and accountability for nursing care of all residents on her/his assigned shift. The Nursing Supervisor protects and promotes resident rights. Manages facility in accord with facility philosophy, in compliance with standards of professional nursing practice, and with all State and Federal rules and regulations. Utilizes resources in an efficient manner. Utilizes the nursing process in assessing emergent and non-emergent resident/visitor situations. In the absence of other nursing management is responsible for discipline, scheduling, supply appropriation, complaint reports and assisting nursing staff as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
EDUCATION:
Graduated of accredited school of nursing.
LICENSE:
Current, active license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Michigan. Must have no restrictions of license.
EXPERIENCE:
Prior experience in long term care in a supervisory capacity is preferred.
